September 30, 2018 – 9:30 AM to 11 AM
The Church for the Fellowship of All Peoples, 2041 Larkin St, San Francisco
Dear Brothers and Sisters,
We will sit in small groups this Sunday to support each other in writing a vision of The Beloved Community.
You can also send in your vision before or after Engaged Spirituality this Sunday.
You can send it to be published anonymously or not.
May each of us open to the compassion, knowledge, and wisdom present within as we express a Vision of the Beloved Community.
Some ideas for a Vision of The Beloved Community:
“A global vision in which all people can share in the wealth of the earth. In the Beloved Community, poverty, hunger and homelessness will not be tolerated because international standards of human decency will not allow it. Racism and all forms of discrimination, bigotry and prejudice will be replaced by an all-inclusive spirit of sisterhood and brotherhood.”
“Aware of the Precious Presence of our Compassionate Creator embedded in each person, an Unconditional Presence that overflows the mere outlines of our bodies to weave us into a Shared Presence – we create The Beloved Community where everyone is supported to reach their full potential as we protect the blessed gift of this earth and all living things.”
“That the S Curve of change would reach a point when the number of people understanding and responding to the implications that we are ONE EARTH, ONE HUMANITY, ONE FUTURE would assure that our beautiful planet would flourish”
“Diverse citizens across genders, generations, classes, ethnicities, races, religions, cultures, classes, tribes, and nations seeking one another — excluding no one — for face-to-face communication excellence, with a quality of listening that dignifies everyone.”
“An inclusive, interrelated society based on love, justice, compassion, responsibility, shared power and a respect for all people, places, and things—a society that radically transforms individuals and restructures institutions.”
“A spiritual or divine community capable of achieving the highest good as well as the common good.”
Hope you can make it this Sunday!
